DON

212786

Don, who was in the English Team in 1999, is a son of Paul Turnbull's highly regarded and renowned modern-day sire Nap 188631 who won the English National in 1993. Nap was yet another grandson of that other renown sire, Dick Fortune's Glen 75630. Don's dam Eira also returns to Glen on her maternal side through John Paterson's very talented York 127630. Other great breeding dogs to be seen withing Don's lineage are Bobby Dalziel's dual International Supreme Champion Wisp 161487 and John J.Templeton's Reserve International Supreme Champion Moss 103923, himself sire to the 1982/85/85 Scottish National Champion Roy 114678.

Owners comments:

Don is an honest work dog and major trial winner. He has represented England at the international and is a proven breeder. Three sons are competing in open competition, two already are winners.

SPEED

SPEED

220333

Predominantly of Welsh bloodlines, Speed is bred back strongly on his sires side to John Thomas' highly successful Craig line. These same qualities are again displayed on the maternal side of his lineage through Mac 116944, who's great-grandfather Reserve Welsh National Champion Chip 29946, was Craig's sire. In fact Craig is line-bred to Chip as he also appears as a maternal great-grandfather on his dams side.

Owners comments:

Speed working name Jake, This dog is a proven breeder clicking well with a variety of females. Offspring are forceful and bold, running in the Irish nursery finals and trials on the mainland. In professional hands Jake would have gone all the way.

Once taught Jake never forgets

BEN

Owners comments:

Ben is used as a top class hill dog at Hendre Owen Farm where his value, working upwards of fifteen hundred ewes and lambs and a 150 or so suckler cows, cannot be overstated. Add to this the fact that he has been supremely competitive on the trials field, winning more Open trials than Richard can remember, to go along with his impressive National and International resume. 1999-6th in the Welsh National and 7th in the Supreme Championship.
2002 5th in the World Trial and the winner of the One Man And His Dog televised trial; 2003 Reserve Supreme Champion and International Outwork Champion, and you have one of the greatest work dogs of the last decade.

Ben is producing quality hill and trial dogs to a variety of bitches. Taddymoor Cap, a Ben son, was placed in the top ten at the 2004 Supreme Championship and is a multiple Open trial winner; Richard Millichap's Lad, another Ben son, is also a multiple Open trial champion. Both will represent Wales at the coming World Championships in Ireland in July.

BOB

229309

Bob has a first class working pedigree taking in many of triallings highly regarded breeding and trialling dogs, and it displays a nice balance shown between well established Scottish and Welsh breedlines.

Owners comments:
"Power" is not about getting in first, its being able to stand your ground under extreme pressure. He came 7th in the English National and was the winner of the English heat of One Man and His Dog when he was only two.

One year after an injury at work which resulted in severed ligaments to a hock joint, (an injury that would finish most dogs), Bob bounced back to take the National Shepherds Trophy at the next National.

Bob is an excellent work dog who needs very little commanding and works well on his own initiative. With an abundance of controlled power, Bob really has the heart of a lion.

Astra Tweed is everyone's friend as he believes that everyone will be nice to him, he is the biggest softy in the canine world but when it comes to sheep, wow, he becomes a different dog. On sheep, Tweed is very strong in every sense of the word.

If you are wanting true power, Tweed is the dog for your bitch, I have never been stuck anywhere with sheep or cattle. Tweeds pups are showing the same determination to get the job done, but have proved easy to train, his first pups have done exceptionally well in Agility and Farmwork.  The winter of 2005/6 will bring out his first ever pups to have the opportunity to compete on the trials field.

DRIFT

Drift

DRIFT

234479

Drift has a high-class working pedigree displaying many of triallings most successful competition and breeding dogs. His sire, Turk 178034, descends through the well proven and recognised lines of Fortune's Glen and Thomas Longton's English National Brace Champion Maggie 140478. Maggie was a full sister to Thomas' English National Driving Champion Tweed 140476 and they both return in lineage to the unreserved power of the International Supreme Champion Bosworth Cooon 34186 and Reserve International Supreme Champion Gyp 38336. Drift's dam, Jess 219788, is extremely well bred in her own right, descending as she does from International Supreme Champion Davy 131049 and John Templeton's triple Scottish National Champion Roy 114678, through Roy's first born son, John Bathgate's Vic 128240, the 1984 Scottish National Driving Champion.

Owners comments:
Drift, like his father was easy to train and a real balancer of sheep. He is confident at daily work and will work lambs as well as ewes. Placed at open trials Drift is a dual purpose dog.
